Dear ones in Christ,

Prayers for Dorene Dunlap
Our beloved music director was hospitalized this week with ongoing complications from Parkinson’s. As of today, she is still in the hospital, but in good spirits and getting stronger. Since she has limited energy for phone calls or visits, the best support for her at this time is with our prayers and cards. Her mailing address is: P.O. Box 224, Manzanita, OR 97130.

Lessons and Carols this Sunday
Our Sunday worship this Sunday will begin with a shortened Eucharistic service at St. Catherine’s at 9:30 AM, followed by Lessons and Carols at Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church at 11:00.  These shared worship opportunities are emerging from our local clergy gatherings, looking at ways to express community-building and unity as a way to live faithfully into what the Gospel of Jesus calls us to do today. Please be part of this work with your presence at the shared Lessons and Carols!

Christmas Tea
Our Christmas Tea is tomorrow at 1 PM. Be there, invite some guests, and have a wonderful time even as we collect funds in support of local businesses and individuals rebuilding after the tornado.

Bishop’s Advisory Committee membership
The Bishop’s Advisory Committee comprises the lay leadership of our church.  Its membership is drawn from contributing members of St. Catherine’s who have a heart for the wholeness and growth of our congregation, and are willing and able to work with others as part of a diverse team. We will have several positions to fill at our Annual Meeting in January. If you would like to be considered to serve your church in this capacity, please contact me directly by e-mail, or by phone at 503-457-5244
