Vicar’s Notes:

Ongoing Conversations
about Supporting our
Immigrant Community:

Last Sunday we had an initial conversation about the impact of changes of immigration enforcement on our local community. It was a poignant time of sharing, leading to a renewed urgency on creating ways to walk authentically alongside each other and finding ways to provide tangible and effective support.

Our next immigration support event will take place on Sunday, May 14th, and focus on helping families create plans of care for their children in the event adults in the family are detained.

Two ways we can all help is by keeping our Latino community in faithful prayer, and attending the evening service as we re-develop an emphasis on prayer for all immigrants.

In Christ,
Patricia+

Congregational Care Meeting
May 6 Saturday at 9:30 AM

Please join Congregational Care on Saturday, May 6, at 9:30 AM. We will schedule a presentation on end-of-life legal issues and discuss other ways to minister to St. Catherine’s community.

We continue to provide home communion after the Sunday 9:30 AM service to those who are unable to attend worship services. We have been discussing a Caregivers’ Support Group. Let us know if  you are interested. Email here.

Godly Play Sunday at 6 PM

Janet Robinson is moving to Portland so this will be her last session of Godly Play. The children and youth have loved learning the stories of our faith and reflecting on them through art and other activities. Many of those who have participated are now graduating from High School and College. They have a faith foundation to support them as they go on through life.

Thanks Janet, for your faithfulness.
